Our Methodology
Reg Intel provides AI regulation analysis across 11 jurisdictions. This page explains how we research, write, verify, and maintain our content.
Research Process
Primary sources first. Every jurisdiction analysis begins with the official legislative text. For the EU AI Act, that means EUR-Lex. For China, the CAC official website and government gazette. For Vietnam, the National Assembly publications. We read regulatory texts in their original language where possible — including Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese — to avoid errors introduced by secondary English-language sources.
Multi-source verification. No factual claim relies on a single source. We cross-reference official texts with regulatory commentary, enforcement announcements, and peer-reviewed analysis. When sources disagree, we note the disagreement.
Confidence System
We rate our confidence in claims using a five-tier system:
- Tier 1: Verified against primary source in original language
- Tier 2: Verified against official English translation or multiple reliable secondary sources
- Tier 3: Based on reliable secondary sources, not yet primary-verified
- Tier 4: Based on limited sources, flagged for verification
- Tier 5: Unverified — included with explicit uncertainty disclaimer
Freshness Monitoring
AI regulation changes weekly. We monitor all 11 jurisdictions for new developments using official government feeds, regulatory databases, and industry sources. Every article displays a “last reviewed” date. Articles are re-verified on a rolling schedule, with priority given to jurisdictions with active legislative processes.
Error Correction
When we find an error — or a reader reports one — we investigate immediately. Corrections are made in the article with a note explaining what changed. Material corrections are logged in our internal discovery system.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not provide legal advice
- We do not make compliance determinations for specific organizations
- We do not accept payment for favorable analysis
- We do not use AI-generated content without human expert review and verification
